Who We Are?
At Dunia Rafiki, our quest is to nurture the seeds of a brighter future for every child in Tanzania. Our essence, which in Swahili means "Friendly World," reflects our resolve to bridge early childhood development gaps in a region where socio-economic challenges threaten to overshadow the potential within our youngest generation. Fully registered under the Non- Governmental Organisation Act, 2002 (Registration No. 00NGO/R/2275), our organization sprouted from the passion of a local woman to foster change.

To catalyze community-driven an inclusive child care program which promotes optimal development for each child, support families, upholds best practices in the  field of Early Care and Education

Goal
Our goal is to impact the GROWTH, LEARNING and LIFE OUTCOMES of children from the underserved communities by promoting early learning initiatives and childcare programmes.

Objectives
1. To promote early learning, basic healthcare services and improved nutrition to children aged 0-5.
2. To promote early learning, play, social and emotional skills that underpin success in primary school.
3. To collect data to inform and influence ECD policy direction to be taken by the Government and the sector.
4. To raise awareness on early childhood care and development to parents and caregivers
5. To empower parents to actively engage in their child’s development and become advocates for early childhood care.
6. To promote child protection and ensure young children do not experience violence or neglect from caretakers, or endure constant insecurity in their surroundings.


Meeting with local authorities to discuss the need of the establishment of community-based daycare center in Luchelele ward.

Site visit with local authorities to conduct initial assessment of the building that was identified to be used as daycare center.
